When hiring a trainer, you want to make sure that your trainer is certified and that you feel you will be able to communicate with your new trainer. You want to make sure that your trainer is aware of any medical or physical disabilities. As an example, if you have some disabilities that would make it hard to run on a treadmill, your trainer should have the knowledge to know what cardio alternatives are available for you. So if you and your trainer have good communication, then they will be able to design a program that fits you.

You need to discuss your goals with your trainer and make sure the two of you are on the same page and that your trainer thinks your goals are realistic. How does your trainer plan to keep you accountable for your end of the bargain and what are the consequences if you don’t do your part.
