Personal trainers are hired to help people reach their fitness goals through one on one training. They are hired to help motivate with the exercise routines, show their clients the proper way to work out and help them if there are any health issues.
However, a lot of personal trainers run into problems when their clients don't really want to do the exercise routines. By this, they get clients who do not want to do the exercise programs. They just want to use their personal trainers as a therapist in other words; just talk to them.
If you get clients who are just wanting to glide through the training, then you as the trainer aren't fulfilling your end of the agreement. Personal trainers owe a number of things to their clients and the clients deserve and expect certain things, results are definitely one of them on the list.
If a personal trainer gets a client that enjoys talking more than doing the exercises, the personal trainer gets a bad client. Someone might think that the personal trainer has to take some serious action before it cost them more money, or even worse their reputation, as a good trainer. Personal trainers who get clients who do not want to do anything but talk, and this makes it hard on the trainer, because other potential clients could be watching and think that the trainer isn't that good. Another reason is that if your client is not getting results, they are costing you money, because someone could explain to them that they have a personal trainer that could achieve better results.
