It's no secret that we all need regular exercise. Exercise is good for so many things including the heart, the mind, and the body. Some people want to exercise to burn fat. When it comes to burning fat, there are certain ways to exercise to get the most out of the work out. There are certain ways to work out to burn more fat than others.
Cardio workouts are good for weight loss. Yet when it comes to burning fat, you'll need to include weightlifting as well. Cardio gets the metabolism going, but burning fat requires keeping the metabolism up. That is what weight training helps. It keeps the metabolism burning fat after the workout is over for usually about an hour after finishing the workout. You need to start with lighter weights and gradually work up. Your repetitions should be short, three or four at a time, and gradually work up. Muscle growth happens when pressure is applied to it. This happens with increasing weight.
If you stay at the same weight constantly, your muscles will never grow. Your muscles need stress, in a sense, to build them and burn fat. Aerobic work outs are another way of blasting fat. They are strenuous enough that they burn calories and burn fat. If you cannot use weights, aerobics might be something to consider. Burning fat may seem like a hard thing to do. Regular workouts that really use the muscles are the best way to do it. Of course eating right will only help. Get active and the fat will start to fall off.
