Weight Loss Walking

Walking is a great form of exercise. It is inexpensive and you can do it anywhere. When first starting a walking program, becoming consistent is the key. After all, any exercise is better than no exercise. However, if you want to improve your fitness level and lose weight faster there are ways to do this.
 
First, start with walking for a certain amount of time at least 3 days a week. This will help you to become consistent. Decide on the amount of time first and then just go at a comfortable pace for you. Over time, you will definitely burn more calories than you with one long walk.
 
Next, once you are consistent with your walks, you can add some speed sessions to your walking regime. Speed it up at least one to two days per week. You do not have to do this for the whole workout. You can just add short bouts of faster walking from 1-5 minutes and alternate it with your moderate pace. Eventually, you will be able to keep the faster pace throughout the whole workout and then speed it up again.
 
Last, choose to do a long walk once a week. These walks will improve your heart and lungs efficiency to pump more oxygen  rich blood with less work. By doing this you will improve your cardiovascular fitness and have more energy throughout the day. These are a few ways that you can lose weight with your walking program. Now hit the road.
