Eliminate The Fat: Fat Blasting Workouts

Larry Scott, the 1st IFBB Mr. Olympia Body Builder in 1965, has asked many times, “Would you like to look good and feel good... Have a flat hard stomach... Be able to walk up a flight of stairs without gasping for breath...Stand in front of a mirror without being disappointed?” Many would answer in the affirmative with a definite yes! As the weather becomes warmer there's never a better time to get into shape. You’ll look better at the pool or at that July wedding. What a boost to the ego it is to have someone compliment you on how you look.

There are many good and productive routines and products that help lose weight. The work outs that can be considered truly ‘fat blasting’ follow a confirmed and research supported routine of warm-ups (five to 10 minutes), Interval Training, which is aerobics or cardio together with weight training, and a cool-down (five to 10 minutes.) In combination with caloric intake (watching what you eat) research shows you will lose weight. The objective is to increase and then keep up your heart rate up during the entire workout. The result is increased metabolism with a greater amount of fat burned.

The belief that weight training will not help lose pounds is in error. Research shows that it takes no energy for fat to sit on your body. That’s why once you have it, it stays. On the other hand, muscle requires energy to maintain itself – as much as 30 to 60 calories per day for each pound of muscle. Additionally, fat has a greater area of volume than muscle. Therefore, the same amount of fat takes up more space than an equal amount of muscle.
