The Difference Between Isometric Exercises and High Impact Exercises Isometric exercises and high impact exercises are both beneficial for you. Yet, there may be times when a person may not be able to do high impact exercises, perhaps when they have an injury. It is times like these when isometric exercises will help someone at least maintain a fitness level and keep their muscle mass. This is not to say that someone should not do isometric training when they do not have an injury. Isometric exercises are beneficial and are a great way to mix up your workout routine.
